A huge appetite for growth

We consider ourselves lucky with a client like Chotto Matte. The quality and presentation of its brand (and its Japanese-Peruvian cuisine) are so striking that there’s already a clear creative vision to work with. But the Chotto team is always hungry for more, and we’ve developed a close connection with the business, helping to deliver integrated digital services across multiple markets.

Following a successful rebrand, we designed and developed a new international website to support an expanding portfolio of restaurants in London, Toronto, and Miami, with Doha, San Francisco, Riyadh, and Mexico to follow in 2022. The site had to look beautiful, but also perform effectively – with the best UX possible and an approach tailored to what tomorrow’s digital-savvy foodies need from the site, particularly on mobile. So knowing that 90% of users would be right-handed, and 75% would mostly navigate with their thumbs, we introduced custom hotkeys linking to the most in-demand pages, to keep the site easy-to-use and to drive conversions.

With the website in place, our performance team kicked into action, launching dedicated campaigns focused on highly targeted audiences to drive bookings in a strategic, scalable way. And when COVID-19 devastated the hospitality industry, our performance marketing solutions played a vital role in helping Chotto pivot to new business strategies, from in-venue campaigns to click-and-collect orders and ‘dark kitchen’ preparations. It hasn’t been easy, but our campaigns have helped deliver a consistent ROI of more than 400%, even during a time of unprecedented challenges.
