About

Sometimes, when you really need to make a splash, flying pigs and electric eels are the only real option. For BGO, we devised a big, bold brand for Regent's Wharf as the site transformed into a modern, canalside campus. With plenty of other office developments in the area, Regent's Wharf proudly stands apart, revelling in its quirky character while connecting the campus with the King's Cross of now and years gone by.

A person walks along a canal beside a brick building labelled Regents Wharf, with trees and moored boats visible.
Yellow text on a red background reads BRICKS & WATER vertically and REGENTS WHARF with a small illustration of a wharf at the bottom right corner.

Tablet with keyboard displays a presentation slide titled Highlights and Sustainability + Wellbeing, featuring icons and numerical statistics in yellow, red, and blue on a grey surface.

From web to wharf

The brand was launched with a bang across a full campaign, website and marketing suite. Artwork and bold signage then carried our unique personality into the physical environment, where it remains to this day.

A tablet on a grey surface displays a screen with industrial building photos and labels, titled THINK LATERALLY, next to a stylus.
Tablets displaying slides with images, diagrams, maps, and text about Regents Wharf, sustainability, history, and workplace environment, arranged on a white surface.
A person walks past a bright Regents Wharf billboard advertising 111,000 sq ft of workspace, opening summer 2023, with bold yellow and black text on an orange background.

Accept no imitations

Regent's Wharf has centuries of stories to tell, including a starring role in the industrial revolution. But, with other office developments in the area already banging this drum, we needed that extra little twist to set us apart.

Our approach made the most of the scheme's heritage with vintage-style imagery and typography to create a look and feel that could only belong here. We then took things further with playful, disruptive elements - including the famous flying pigs - to sell the character of this quirky campus and connect it with the King's Cross of today.

A round wooden table with six yellow chairs sits in front of a large yellow wall with bold text and a window; a jar of straws is on the table.
A brown doormat with REGENTS WHARF printed in black, seen upside down, lies near glass doors. Sunlight casts window grid shadows on the mat and grey floor.
A small toy pig stands on a map near three blue wavy lines, with the map partially covering a wooden surface.
A vintage yellow metal sign on a brick wall reads Thorleys Food for Pigs with an illustration of a black pig and a feed box on its side.
Three paper cups featuring a black and white ox illustration with yellow KKX text, one cup is black and the other two are white.
Two white pump bottles with red text and blue illustrations; the left reads REGENTS WHARF, and the right lists features like 4 buildings, 110,000+ metres², contemporary space.
