The ‘feel good’ town

A place to call home isn’t a luxury, it’s a human necessity. And we’re always looking for ways to do more, by partnering with brands that make a real, purpose-driven difference in the property sector. So when leading social housing provider, Clarion, approached us with a new Unity Gardens scheme it was developing in Ebbsfleet, we knew we wanted to be involved in the project. As part of a major regeneration effort in the area, the scheme was about more than just a few new homes, instead aiming to really put Ebbsfleet on the map, and make people want to move there.

Based on the radical ‘garden city’ vision of iconic urban planner Ebenezer Howard, Unity Gardens puts wellbeing and environmental care at the heart of everything it does. We helped Clarion design a self-sufficient town with those principles in mind, with everything residents needed on-site, including a brand-new dedicated bus route, to encourage people to ditch their cars and opt for greener travel.

Bringing the 1800s to life

As part of the project, miles of previously unseen parts of the Thames were opened up to residents and the public for the first time, creating newly accessible green walkways, beaches, and social spaces. The result is an organic, natural environment that genuinely makes the people who live there feel good.
